Autographs
Autographs will be allocated in registration number order. Due to the large number of attendees, we are unable to guarantee everyone an autograph. Autographs will only be available for those guests available on the attendee's appointed day.
There will be items for sale at various tables etc (photographs, magazines, books, etc) which you may purchase. You can have ONE appropriate item signed per guest. With the exception of fan-fiction or items deemed inappropriate to the comfort of the guest, please feel free to bring your own items for signing.
Costumes
Attendees are also welcome to attend the social events as Highlander characters or from any of the Immortals’ flashback periods.
Dealers Room
You will have the opportunity to purchase items from HLWW, PEACE, etc. For more information you can contact aine@hlww9.com
Disabilities or Special Needs
HLWW is aware that some con attendees may have individual conditions or needs which may affect aspects of their attendance. If this is the case, please inform us at the earliest opportunity and we will do our best to help within the resources and budget we have. We believe we have a good track record in this matter and will always try to help an individual enjoy the weekend experience.
Dress
Everyday smart/casual is the norm.
Friday Night Events
We will be hosting a "Guest Meet and Greet" for a limited number of attendees. The cost will be $70 USD.
Gifts for the Guests
Guests often receive gifts from attendees and they are enormously grateful. Due, however, to tight schedules and (sadly) the need for basic security, it will not be possible to hand these items to a guest personally.
Gifts may be left with a HLWW official or volunteer.
Please be assured that ALL appropriate items ARE ultimately passed to the guests. We appreciate your co-operation. Please keep your gifts small, easy to carry and tasteful.
Guest Attendance
As per standard arrangements with such events and conventions, the appearance of a guest at the event is subject to other commitments. Each guest has expressed their enthusiasm to participate, however, last minute changes to the line up can occur due to professional opportunities.
Please be aware that the change in line up will not entitle any member to a refund.
Newbies
If you are a regular HLWW or Highlander con-goer and spot a ‘Newbie’ please help them out and make them feel welcome. We know that Highlander fandom is one of the most generous and welcoming, so help us to reaffirm that.
Equally, if you are a ‘con-virgin’ yourself, you should find it easy to make new friends. Having the shared interest in a particular show is an easy way to break the ice. Seek out our staff who will be wearing official HLWW green shirts or one of our volunteers with a yellow scarf for any further advice. Contact volunteers@hlww.org.
Payments
When registering, the pages for payment will automatically show - however, if in the enthusiasm of registering you miss the appropriate links for payment, they are as below:
- Pay in full by PayPal
- Pay by check or money order
- Pay by credit card. Payment by credit card can be made using Paypal and you do not need a PayPal account to do this.
It is not unusual for us to have credit card payments rejected as providers are concerned about unusual payments especially from overseas. It is in your best interest to notify your card provider to expect some overseas transactions.

Please do not forget to include name and contact info so we know who the payment is from!
Please note: Payment by mail must be received within 3 weeks of your registration form being completed, otherwise the registration reservation will be passed on to the next person.
Photography
Photography is allowed and actively encouraged as long as it doesn’t cause discomfort to the guests or your fellow con-members. You may want to get the perfect shot, but it should not be attempted if it involves blocking the view of others.
We do allow flash photography for the first five minutes of any panel. Beyond that, a barrage of flashing lights can be distracting and painful for our guests, so please turn off flashes. You may continue to take non-flash photos from your seat.
Registration Time and Place
Registration will take place at the Westin Hotel on Thursday at 5pm, Friday 12 midday and 8 am Saturday. You do not need to bring your registration confirmation with you, however, you will need some form of photo ID.
Saturday Night Concert
Our guests will entertain us on Saturday night with a concert. The cost for the concert will be $60 USD. Priority will be given to those attending HLWW9. Should there be seats available after 31 March, the partners and friends of attendees will be able to purchase tickets.
There will be no priority seating for this event. No photographs or videos will be permitted during the concert.
Volunteers
We welcome volunteers to fill many and varied roles. If you would like to volunteer contact volunteers@hlww9.com You don’t need to miss any of your favorite sessions as we are always happy to take your preferences into account.
