DON PAONESSA

We are delighted to welcome back Don Paonessa to his first HLWW event since the Walkabout Wokshop, here at the Westin LAX in 2004. Born in New York, Don moved to California when he was a young boy. He grew up in Los Angeles where he studied art in school. It was during his undergraduate year that he discovered photography and filmmaking. After receiving his Masters degree at UCLA’s School of Theater and Film, he began a 25 year career in the film and television business. Working as a writer, Don wrote pilot scripts for CBS, NBC, Universal and Columbia Pictures. In 1992 Don helped launch the Highlandertelevision series in Vancouver, Canada.

As the Supervising Editor and Post Production Creative Consultant, he was instrumental in developing the look of the show.Utilizing his background in art, he designed all of the visual effects and transitional shots for Highlander during the show’s entire six season run. As well as the main Highlander television series, he also served as an Editor on the movie sequel Endgame. |
