Highlander fans will recognise Peter Wingfield as the enigmatic Methos, a character that was a combination of the ultimate pragmatist, a lover of life and enthusiastic connoisseur of beer. Even if he doesn’t look it, he was and remains the oldest immortal known and history would have been a lot… duller without him. In real life Peter studied medicine before discovering the world of acting and during his career has found himself in several prominent medical roles including Dr Frankenfurter (The Rocky Horror Show) Dr Robert Helm (Queen of Swords) Dr Tom Kirby (in the veterinarian Noah’s Ark), Dr Harbeck (Men in Trees) and recently spent a year in the role of Daniel Clifford in the BBC’s hit show Holby City.
